This has been an interesting quarter so far. Switching from a traditional classroom setting to an online interface has presented itself with challenges that I have slowly been able to overcome. Assignments have definitely been piling up, which are a bit difficult to keep track of, but I am slowly but surely adjusting to our new class system, which will probably be the norm for a while. COVID-19 has definitely stopped our world and hearing news about the ongoing rise of deaths in different parts of the world and how some countries are less-equipped to handle COVID-19 has been getting hard to hear on a daily basis. But I know there is a silver lining at the end of all of this! LCS in particular has been a delight to follow and our book has been keeping me indulged and entertained, all while influencing my concept of happiness.
The first three weeks of this quarter has also been reminding me the importance of having a routine and keeping busy. I’ve been trying to get back into reading and limiting my time with technology (especially since my education is currently dependent on it), and i’ve been enjoying baking a bit here and there! I am truly grateful for our HAP as well because it's been keeping my mind stimulated and providing an outlet for connections during these times. Exploring my new hometown, now that my self-quarantine is over, has been really exciting. Whenever I visited Korea I would only ever see Seoul, but now that my family has moved across the world to Daejeon, South Korea, it’s been nice to see what other parts of Korea is like.
Classes are starting to pick up and I’m getting used to our new system. I don’t want to lose the pace I am at right now and hopefully more good will roll around some time soon to lift all of our spirits!
