Final Reflection

Looking back at the LCS program now that it’s over, I realized that the class met many of my expectations and also exceeded others. I did come into the program knowing that we would learn about the elderly and gain a closer relationship with them, but actually experiencing it was really nice. I’m also happy with the friendships that I made in the class as well. The people that I’ve met are all such amazing, unique people and I feel like all of them have helped me grow as a person in some way. This class was also the first class I took with professors who are so proactive and personal with the students, and it made the class even more fun. Their commitment to the class was very inspiring and it urged me to continue to move forward.

Today at the conference a lady came up to John and I and told us how she appreciated our project and that we should try to expand it to other centers. We both agreed with her, but the difficulty with our choir HAP is the lack of people and time. Jessica is graduating this year, and John and Stephanie are graduating next year, so we need to find a way to recruit people and make the process more organized so that other people can take on the project. I will try my best to continue visiting Seasons next year and hopefully we can make it grow, or maybe next year’s cohort could take it on.
