Our class has important deadlines coming up, and today's session was devoted to planning the upcoming events and assignments.
We have two HAPS coming up in Casa de Manana and at the Gary and Mary West Center. Since the dance at Casa is to be held in a few days, the final preparations were made regarding the decorations, raffle prizes, food, and rides to the venue. I am impressed by the thought and effort the class has put into organizing the event; everything is so meticulously planned out and ready to go. It is exciting to see the HAP transform from a mere concept to reality, and I sincerely look forward to how it will turn out. I have confidence that the dance will go according to plan and most importantly, I am certain that the seniors will have a wonderful time and appreciate the work that has been put in by the students. Afterwards, we discussed the dance at Gary and Mary West Center, which will have a music playlist instead of a live band and a different theme. The atmosphere for the two locations will most likely be very different but each with its own merit.
The class also checked in regarding the NAPs, which are due in a few days. Every group has made progress, visiting their locations and making observations. My group is responsible for presenting about La Jolla, and during our visits to many locations, I was able to learn about a variety of aspects about the city in which I live in and meet many people. Since I still do not know much about La Jolla, this is an invaluable opportunity to turn that around.
