On a wonderful Saturday we went to the Martin Johnson House. That was a really nice place close to the beach and we could hear the ocean from the house.
The life game was the most impressed part for me of that day. We all know that this world has privileges but I never think social status this way before. Every person was labeled in different priority status since infant. It was interesting that everyone still need to deal with the obstacles and bad lucks from life, but those privileges have better chance to survive and have their life less affected.
It was really excited that we have the opportunity to meet with the author of 7 Memories: Partnering to Write a Memoir. She talked about how to interview our Extraordinary Partners and what is important when collecting their stories. I will never forger one of the metaphor she made that day: When a person passed away, it was like burn down the entire library of him or her. I feel really sad after I heard this expression because I was thinking about all the stories between me and my grandparents. They love me so much and I will never feel that kind of love after they passed away and I do not even have a place to look for it like search for a book in a library. I feel the memoir probably will be the best gift that I can possibly give to them and let them know they are not just ordinary but they mean a lot to me.
